Fat Rat

I went to the pet store last weekend and saw something unusual. Generally when I go to the pet store and look in on the rats, they are all either hiding in whatever housing they’ve been provided or back in a corner. I think with all the constant traffic and strangers peering in, they just aren’t ever super confident or comfortable. Well, this past weekend I saw a rat that seemed to have no issues with relaxing in that environment. She was propped up with her back against the front corner of her cage, going to town cleaning her stomach. Never have a seen a pet store rat so quite at home. Not to mention that she was a bit of a chubs and there’s nothing cuter or more amusing than a fat rat lounging back on its own fat. I took two pictures with my phone that I have attached.

Thats awesome, never seen a rat do that before.

I think my little fella was relaxing like this in his hideout. I reached my hand in to pet him, and he was on his back, I got worried but he came prancing out of his hideout like no big deal. And then the other day he was laying down on his hammock, looking soo relaxed. Their such cuties.
