Observation Deck Pictures
November 14, 2007
These are a little belated, but I have some photos from the trail ride in Henry Cowell Redwood State Park from a few weekends ago. At the top of the hill that we rode up is a clearing and an observation deck. There was a little automatic waterer for the horses as well as a place to tie them off while riders go up to look at the view. I went up and took some pictures. The view was amazing and you could see forever, but I wasn’t really able to capture that in the photos.

These are amazing pictures! I am sure they don’t capture what you exactly saw in person. Pictures can do that. That is how I feel when I go riding up here at Pardee Res. I can go all day in the middle of nowhere. Just the way I like to spend my day

HOLY COW! You make me feel like a real lazy bones. Is there anything you havne’t done with Apache! You two are great ambasadors for the gaited horse! I’ve also competed in lower level dressage with my barefoot TWH and attended local gaited horse shows. I have had the same expierience with the local gaited shows in Florida. Some judges have no clue what a true 4 beat flat walk or running walk looks like. They’re so used to seeing a stepping pace or amble, they don’t recognize correct movement when it’s staring them in the face! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words Liz! I also like to think of Apache as a great ambassador also. He does so many different things and never complains – actually enjoys the variety. Is there any better way to showcase their versatility than that?!
